Lacing Your Shoes

There are several ways you can lace your shoes. We recommend one of the methods below as it allows for the laces to remain horizontal after you tie them up, resulting in a cleaner and kempt look.

Tying your laces : Double Shoestring Knot

The Double Shoestring Knot is our recommended way of tying your laces. It allows your laces to stay tied for a longer duration and to stay parallel and symmetrical throughout the day.

  • STEP 1

    Create a basic knot

    Create 2 loops on both ends and hold them with your fingertips

  • step 3

    Place the loop in your left hand over the loop in your right hand

  • step 4a

    On your left side, you'll have a loop (from right loop) and a loose end (from left loop). Bring them towards you and place them both into the hole formed between both loops as illustrated above.

    Outcome of step 4a

  • step 5a

    With your right hand, bring the loop and loose end on your right side away from you and into the hole in the center.

    Gently tug on both loops to tighten the knot

  • step 7

    Gently tug to even out the laces
